Which comes first? Chicken or egg???

It's not a joke, not a sing-song grammar school challenge, not a smarty-pants response from your dad. It's apparently, not even a question anymore. The chicken and egg debate has now come down to real, live science.

Researchers from two universities in England say that they've finally answered which came first. (Quick! Make your final guess!)

And the answer is?

Chicken.

Scientists say the age-old question comes down to one practicality -- the egg cannot be formed without the protein ovocledidin-17. This essential ingredient helps the shell develop and is produced solely inside the chicken. Therefore, if the egg must be produced inside the the chicken, the chicken got the whole thing started.

The researchers note that aside from solving this mystery (which, by the way, they said they long suspected would be a chicken before they actually had the scientific proof), the study could offer insight into shell production. That could lead to new nature-inspired developments in material design and technology.

If that's the case and a technology-or-egg question ensues, at least we'll already have a concrete response.

Were you right? Is this enough info for you or are you still convinced a shell broke before the first chick appeared?
Hmmm...

Farewell Kak idah...

19 July 2010...

Gobi's kinda toy...

Gobi is a fairly grown up female cat...still a very long way to adulthood...hahaha!...that was presented to Naufal from my MRSM's friend Mr Atan (remember my  N3 about his visit last year ...)
bb
                                                                                             20 minutes later

Having the fact that Gobi is a female cat...does not at all lessen her ability in hunting...a natural skill that Gobi the natural predator could do...
Just have a nice look at all the action shown ...you will agree that she don't exactly hunt for his breakfast... (coz i feeds her most of the time )...but rather takes his prey as his playmate...or her toy instead!
No doubt she is good in catching his prey...could catch a low flying butterfly...dragon fly...moths ...lizadrs...cockroaches... name it! and this poor bird is a prove how good she is...and how playful she is!
Done with the juggling...lobbing...hurling...nipping and bitting...
Sorry bird! Gobi's just wanna have fun!
and so ...left the dead body of that poor bird....uneaten!

Demam yang yuk???

Ibu...Naufal pening!
This is one simple sentence i used to hear out of Naufal's mouth early morning...
and straight away i know that he's not in any interest to go to school today...
Felt like forcing him to get up and hit the shower...
but again i knew...that he's gonna just make' donno'!
Eeeee....!
If ibu's wish he simply ignored...what more was abah's!
I know Naufal very well!
What not...he is my son ok...
He will not go to school if he is not feeling well...why cant i understand this???
Dah macam2 ibu takutkan...
"kalau malas...kita potong nama ya...tak payah susah pergi sekolah..."
"kalau banyak main...sampai tak boleh pegi sekolah...lain kali tak boleh main...bla bla bla...pot pet pot pet!
but he slept still...cuddled up in his blanket...buat dek! ...as though i was not talking to him...
Arghhh!
After several attempts...persuaded him to get up...i realized it's not worth it...
Ok. ok ..enough of pot petting...
Let him be...
It's not that i didn't understand...
He was too tired and worn out...because of yesterdays activity...Bola Baling tournament...inter house je!
After all...He seldom skip school...
It's just that....hmmmm
Perhaps ...i was sore of the reason...too much of play!
but then again i accept the fact that Naufal is not a robot...
He is merely a human being...and at times he gets sick...and tired...
And most of all
He is my baby!

Nails on the fence...A Story of friendship ...

NAILS IN THE FENCE
There once was
a little boy who had a bad temper...  His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day
the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence...  Over the next
few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily
gradually dwindled down.  He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.  Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all.

   He told his
father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his
temper.

  The days
passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

  The father
took his son by the hand and led him to the fence.  He said, 'You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence.  The fence will
never be the same.  When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.  You can put a knife in a man and draw it out.  But It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound will still be there.  A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

Remember that friends are very rare jewels indeed.
They make you smile and encourage you to succeed; They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open
their hearts to us.

Please forgive
me if I have ever left a 'hole' in your fence…

***Thank you Prof. Mahmood for sharing this.
